In the Message translation of the Bible, Jesus puts it in very simple terms:

Within minutes they were bickering over who of them would end up the greatest. But Jesus intervened: "Kings like to throw their weight around and people in authority like to give themselves fancy titles. It's not going to be that way with you. Let the senior among you become like the junior; let the leader act the part of the servant." Luke 22:26

You don't have to have a cape or the ability to leap tall buildings in a single bound to be a Hero. Just talk to someone that has had a friend in their life walk them though a rough patch in this thing called life, or a person that had a mentor teach them a new life application skill. You here this from these people all the time; Oh, I'm just a volunteer here! Not true. These people (a.k.a. volunteers) are the real life superheroes.
